Welcome to Dead-On Delivery, new employee! I'm Felix, Felix Grimes! And this is my partner, Valerie Freud!

Hey, you can call me Val.

Here at Dead-On, we pride ourselves in delivering packages quickly and at less cost than all of our competitors! You'll be taking the job of Postal Worker, meaning you will be one of many employees bravely delivering these packages to places all over the world, from towering cities to underground labyrinths!

But be aware: this won't be as easy as you might think it would be. These places can be dangerous, and not only will you need to find the delivery points, but you'll be attacked by strange monsters at every turn.

The company is prepared for such dangers, though! For every delivery you make, you will be rewarded with company credits that you can use to purchase weapons, items, and more! These weapons are so powerful and fun to use that you won't be able to resist using them on your friends as well as your enemies! And don't worry, if you die, our state-of-the-art Matter Rescramblers can revive you in an instant!

Just please try to keep the missions on track, if you goof off too much and mess up the deliveries, your average rating will go down, and you NEED to keep that high or the company can't justify your continued employment.

Shoot the Messenger is a 3D, first-person, cooperative, mission-based comedy game in which you and your team work together to deliver packages while being presented with unique challenges such as navigation, strange entities, and even your closest friends. The ridiculously overpowered weapons can save your life or ruin it in an instant, and the comical player proportions and joking dialogue contrast to the terrifying monsters and dystopian world, creating a balance of silly and scary. With its near-inconsequential death penalty, betrayal and teamkilling will become all too common, meaning that while the main goal in-game is to deliver the packages safely, not only the world but the other players themselves become a hindrance to this goal. The way that Shoot the Messenger presents these features and integrates them into gameplay creates a funny, enjoyable atmosphere (mostly) free of annoyance.
